A magnificent fire-guard!

Well, that was big project! Much larger than my usual knives, bracelets, and viking bits-and-bobs, I just delivered a fire-guard for the delightful people at East Clayton Farm, a charitable organisation offering wonderful experiences for young people and people with various needs.

I learnt a lot about welding and practical blacksmithing along the way, and am absolutely delighted it’s turned out so nicely for them. It makes a handsome centrepiece of the fireplace, and I’m proud to have made something that I hope will be a part of the farm for generations to come.

Have a look at the gallery below to see the fire-guard, and some of the steps I went through to get it from vision to reality!
