Iron Crucifix
Made of 16mm iron, and approximately 15cm tall, this sturdy crucifix sits nicely on a mantle piece, and can serve as a reminder of Christ. As I hammer the surface, it reminds me to be grateful for what Christ went through before his time on the cross, and the reasons he believed he had to go through these things.
Although I’m not a priest, I say a little prayer and blessing as I make these, and they go through somewhat of a baptismal process as they emerge from their quenching-pool. Every single crucifix I make means a lot to me, and I hope you’ll appreciate yours!
