Our pottery is all thrown and kiln-fired at The Bathgate Forge by Lucy and I. We really enjoy pottery. It started out as a hobby for Lucy while I was smithing in the forge, but I quickly found it to be a really fantastic outlet for my creativity, too. Learning how to throw, and about the different clays and glazes and how best to fire them, has been a real journey. There will always be variation in the finished results from the photos above as all our items our custom-made to order by hand. We primarily produce high-fire glazed stoneware products, and carefully select glazes to ensure, as far as is possible, that our products are food safe. To preserve their integrity, our items are hand-wash only. Items will require a lead-time of at least two weeks.
